Welcome blogettes, tis I, big Al. Well scanning thru the footy results on wednesday morning i spotted a name to conjure with. Yes Shefki Kuqi no less. He quickly became a cult figure at Crystal Palace and was feted for his brilliant horizontal diving goal celebration. He was then jettisoned for abusing his fans in 2008. So he's back for Swansea and scored the winning goal against his old side. ( Sadly no goal celebration guys). Well, when we were enquiring about getting tickets for a 2nd div match at Koblenz, the media guy asked us were we coming to see yer man Shefki. We were not really, just squeezing an extra game in before our attempt to see Frankfurt. OK we duly turned up to see Koblenz vs Cottbus and he didn't have a great game and recently relegated Cottbus won quite easily. Right a bit boring, but at half time they had a couple of fans come on to try and do a "Shefki". It was hilarious. The best attempt came from the be-suited animal costumed Koblenz mascot who got it spot on.. ( i have a sneaking feeling it was Shefki himself under that cunning disguise!!!!! I may have a piccie of this somewhere. Will have a look -see. Sees ya
