Ahh, back to St Mary's again after a few visits to Eastleigh Town FC's Silverlake and Perugia and Spoleto's grounds.

Saint's beat a spirited Burnley and there are wins for Utd, Chelsea Everton City Swansea Arsenal Palace Spurs and West Ham.
So many things happened in the Premier League this weekend. Amonst the strangeness. Liverpool sub Steven Gerrard came on and lasted less than a minute before being red-carded for a stamp. Team mate Skrtle also seen to stamp on De Gea. Apparently some of the Liverpool players DIDN'T stamp on any Utd players but that's not definitive. Chelsea JUST edge a Gallant Hull 3-2. Not there best performance. Harry Kane gets hat-trick (including an off target shot that was wickedly deflected in) as Spurs win 7 goal thriller vs Leicester. Arsenal take 2 goal lead but let John Carver's Newcastle nearly steal a win. Come on Arse ! Swansea spoil Tim Sherwood's Villa revival with late goal.Sunderland and new (til end of season) Manager Dick Advocaat's party bubble burst by West Ham's late winner. Pardew's plucky Palace prevail at super-stubborn seldomly sensational Stoke. SORRY had to do it.
So after watching the Liverpool v Utd match and then the Chelsea v Hull match I thought it would be good to watch El Clasico for good measure. It wasn't the best ever but early doors it was thrilling watching the increasing cat and mouse probing and then a sustained bout of good football with a stunning Ronaldo equaliser before that wonderful human being and role model for young footballers, Luis Suarez, got the winner. Barca by 4 points. Elsewhere in Europe Bayern lost at home to Monchengladbach. Bayern by 10 points now.
Lyon's home defeat by Nice is costly as PSG's Friday win over Lorient helps them leapfrog into the top  spot by 1 point. Juve beat Genoa and lead by 14 points. My two " local"teams Roma and Lazio both win. Trouble still brewing at AC Milan tho with the Ultras demanding more " transparency" from owner Berlusconi. PSV lose at Feyenoord and 2nd place Ajax beat Den Haag. PSV by 8 points now.
Locally Bournemouth's win propels them top of the Championship. Portsmouth lose and Eastleigh Town FC's trip to Grimsby is fruitless
Below at St Mary's pre match, watering time and celebrating Shane Long's goal. My no 1 son Danny's in the photos somewhere tending the immaculate pitch.
Ok, ther's going to be a break as we head in to International Waters............er maybe International matches with a series of friendlies followed by Euro qualifiers. Later peeps.

Expecting "representations" from Wilkie as we speak.

Just caught up with your excellent summary of our superb weekend in Umbria, Al. Striking images and supporting narrative that captures the essence of Wilkie Tours - the banter, the cultural experiences, the cuisine and the calcio. Long may we continue touring!

Hi i'm Alan S. Ex-Ordnance Survey UK, ex-BAe Systems KSA, ex-Twinings UK. Currently at Coopervision UK. Actually my continuing illnesses did for me and my contract was ended, so now have retired ( sort of). Been Wilkie Touring since 2005. I Love "live" music and also "writing and playing" my own songs. Enjoy throwing parties. Oh Yeah, Going to Cinema and watching DVD's on PROJECTOR based "Home  Cinema" are essentials. Golf and Jazz and Jogging round things off. Would have been on more Tours but for recurring illness's ( Cellulitus and last 2 1/2 years Hip).

Travelling! Did I mention travelling? Oh, and photography too. I belong to the school of " take a 100 pix and one is bound to be good ( ask exasperated family and friends!).
